Organizes Workshops on Teaching Basic Surgical Suturing Techniques for Fifth-Year Students in the “Plastic Surgery Rounds” Course

The Department of Plastic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine organized a series of distinguished training workshops aimed at teaching basic surgical suturing techniques to fifth-year students as part of the Plastic Surgery Rounds course.

The event was held in the presence of Professor Dr. Hany Hamed Dessouki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals Board; Professor Dr. Samraa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Professor Dr. Wael El Shaer, Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Former Dean of the Faculty. They emphasized the importance of practical training in enhancing students’ competencies and developing their surgical skills in accordance with the latest medical training methods.

The workshops included training on the most important types of surgical sutures, proper handling of surgical instruments, along with practical applications aimed at preparing and qualifying students for the clinical phase and the medical labor market.
