The Board of Directors of Beni Suef University Hospitals, headed by Dr. Atef Morsi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Hospitals Board of Directors, decided to establish a kidney transplant unit in implementation of the initiative of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to establish 60 kidney transplant centers at the level of the Republic.
In the presence of Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Director-General of Beni Suef University Hospitals, and heads of departments in the hospital, the council discussed the provision of 500 beds in the new university hospital in East Nile, the development of the total unit by adding 13 pediatric dialysis machines, and the expansion of the intensive care unit by adding 12 new beds. It was also decided to start the trial operation of the Oncology and Burns Hospital in preparation for its official opening and gradually reopening the outpatient clinics with the application of all precautionary measures, reducing clinic days, reducing patients frequenting the hospital, operating post-corona clinics, establishing a therapeutic nutrition clinic in outpatient clinics, in implementation of the speech of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and organizing courses and courses Training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation Considering the establishment and approval of allocating an interventional radiology clinic in the specialized center for one day. The council also honored Dr. Eng. Naguib Gerges Naguib Yaqoub, Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, for his outstanding performance and his role in supervising various projects in the hospital.
