Faculty of Medicine, Beni Suef University
As part of Beni Suef University’s commitment to supporting and caring for international students, the Faculty of Medicine was honored today by a visit from Prof. Dr. Hamada Mohamed Mahmoud, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. During the visit, His Excellency held a meeting with international male and female students of the Faculty of Medicine to listen to their views, identify the most prominent problems and challenges they face, and work toward finding appropriate solutions.
The meeting was held under the supervision and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Hany Hamed Desouki, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the University Hospitals; Prof. Dr. Samraa Hussein, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Ayman Ghoneim, General Coordinator for International Students at the University. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Ahmed Gamal, Coordinator of International Students at the Faculty of Medicine; Mr. Alaa Fathi Mohamed, Director of the Office of the Vice President of the University; and Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Naguib, Director of Student Affairs at the University’s International Students Administration.
The meeting was characterized by a welcoming atmosphere and positive interaction. The Vice President of the University and the Dean of the Faculty affirmed the university’s and the faculty’s commitment to providing all forms of support to international students and to creating a distinguished educational environment that ensures a successful and fruitful learning experience. This includes promoting social and cultural integration through the organization of sports, social and cultural activities, as well as trips to introduce students to Egyptian landmarks, thereby helping to alleviate culture shock and integrate them with Egyptian students.
The meeting of Beni Suef University officials with international students is part of a comprehensive national strategy and an institutional effort by Egyptian universities. These efforts aim to:
* Provide direct support and address the problems faced by students.
* Improve the quality of the educational experience and enhance students’ sense of care and support.
* Strengthen Egypt’s image as an attractive international educational destination.
Proceedings of the Meeting:
The Vice President of the University and the Dean of the Faculty listened attentively to the students’ remarks and opinions, during which several issues of concern to international students were discussed. The students expressed their deep appreciation for the efforts exerted and for the respectful and supportive treatment they receive from the faculty administration, particularly from the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
